You can't even export a standard midi file unless all of the data is on the same track. As much as I love Reaper it's midi is not yet near being complete. If your VSTI use is more playing and basic editing you're good to go. If you don't need that stuff then Cubase might be a waste of money for you. So much so it would be pointless to start listing them or even making that comparison for a user who does heavy midi editing. There are many things that can be done with midi editing in Cubase that simply cannot be done in Reaper. Seriously though, Cubase has midi features that have been developed over many years, functions that many people who don't use it (and many that do) aren't even aware of. Like Manning said, try Reaper and Cubase (and a couple more) and check you available cash. Cubase is far and away more feature laden for midi than Reaper but only you and your working method will tell if that difference will make a difference for you.
